Calgary Real Estate Board’s 2017 Market Forecast

On January 11, 2017 the Calgary Real Estate Board came out with their 2017 Market Forecast.  Below are the highlights…

*Supply is declining and demand remains low but is improving in most sectors of the market

*Stability will return to the housing market in 2017 beginning in the 2nd half of the year

*The transition from a declining market to stable market will take a long time

*Not all sectors of the market will stabilize at the same time

*The detached market is expected to stabilize first, followed by the semi-detached market, then row or townhouse market

*Apartment style condos are expected to decline further and start to stabilize in 2018
